Who Should Participate: Children ages 7-12 who:
Participants should have some degree of motivation to learn knowledge and skills, which include emotion regulation psychoeducation, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Dialectical Behavior Therapy skills (DBT skills). Participants will learn why they have become stuck in unhelpful patterns of behavior and how to move through their emotions and approach challenges in a more effective, values-driven way.
Program Structure: The program begins with a parent intake session, proceeds with 10 individual sessions with your child, and then ends with a parent feedback session to review how you can support your child in using the skills they have learned.
Fees: The program follows the same fee structure as regular therapy, so the total is $2,750 (Intake appointment: $275, each of the remaining 11 sessions: $225). Payment is due upon completion of each appointment. If you would like to submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network benefits, we can provide you with a superbill.
Scheduling: The program can be completed at a weekly pace, or, pending mutual availability, it can be condensed with multiple sessions per week. This flexible scheduling option helps the program feel like another seasonal activity and is great for summer break.
*Note: If your child is enjoying and benefiting from their work with their clinician, they can continue their work beyond the structured program pending mutual availability.
