Teletherapy

Chicago Neurodevelopmental Center (CNC) is proud to offer mental health services and parenting support during this time of social distancing. Our psychologists can provide evidence-based treatment through HIPAA-compliant telehealth services.

What is Teletherapy?

Teletherapy is a mode of online counseling or mental health support that is conducted over the Internet through a private and secure platform.  Like in-person sessions, teletherapy includes goal setting and a treatment plan to support your children or teen. Teletherapy is a confidential, practical and viable alternative to in-person therapy when circumstances limit one’s ability to see a treatment provider face-to-face.

Who can participate?

Children and adolescents as well as their parents/caregivers with access to a device (e.g., computer, IPad, IPhone) and a secure Internet connection can participate in telehealth services.

Why seek treatment?

Changes in routine can sometimes bring about emotional and behavioral changes. Your child may be adjusting to the new educational demands of distance learning and changes associated with being out of school. Combined with the impact of social distancing, your child or teen may be experiencing an increase of anxiety, stress, or feelings of depression and isolation. We can work with your child to support their emotional wellness and behavioral success during this unique time.

Parents may also benefit from working with a psychologist on behavioral and emotional support techniques while managing the new changes that have affected day-to-day life.
